Özel Üniversiteler Birliği 21-24 Kasım 2009'da İstanbul Golden Horn otelde Avrasya üniversitesi rektörlerini topluyor. Üniversitelerde öğretimde standart ve kalite konulu konferansa Avrupa ve Asya'nın bir çok ülkesinin meşhur üniversitelerinin rektörleri katılıyor. Yetkilierden alınan bilgiye göre Ukrayna'yı Şevçenko,Dragamanova,Avrupa ve Pedagoji üniversitelerinin rektörleri temsil edecek.

In 2006, a non-governmental organization called the International Association of Universities (UÜB)was formed with the mission of being a bridge among universities on the subjects such as adoption of the current approaches on the administration of universities,increasing the quality of education in universities, fulfilling intercollegiate students and faculty members exchange programs through cooperation with all universities in the world. As well as individuals from different sectors of society, various universities in the world as a legal entity may become a member of association.

From the very day, as an association, universities in several countries of the world , notably in the USA, have been visited and collaboration programs have been emphasized. In the same way, university administrators and faculty members coming to Turkey for different purposes from different places in the world have been put up.

Partner programs are being developed in cooperation among distinguished universities in the world and our members. Including Joint MBA and Ph.D., double diploma programs within the framework of Dual Degree working to have been carried out successfully. UÜB strives to support the task of being a bridge with its activities due to Turkey's geopolitical and geo-strategic position.

Within the Association, conferences and workshops have been arranged on updates and the different issues with experts for teaching staff.

Translation of articles written to date and books related to higher education issues and copyright books, which have been printed and tried to make available to the benefit of the universities.

In the later time pe riod, national and international meetings both regional, domestically and abroad with wide participation will be arranged on different issues concerning universities.

Within the Association , structures shaped as "Accreditation Board"," international "Rectors Platform" with broad participation,"Academic Solution Platforms" for engineering and technological contributions of universities supporting each other, which develop solutions to the sociological, ethnic, economic and other global crises, joint projects and other purposes.

In "Eurasian Rectors Meeting" to be held between 21-24 November 2009 in İstanbul, which is participated by the rectors of well-known Central Asian and Balkan universities because of their proximity as a geographical position to Turkey,"Accreditation and Quality in Higher Education" will be discussed as the main issue.

The state and private university rectors from the countries such as Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Albania, Romania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Switzerland, North Iraq, the USA, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo will participate to this meting.

At this meeting, the rectors also will express their opinions related with the issues, besides the conferences given by the experts in the field. Then, these discussions will be made available to the universities by making books. At the same time, the access will be ready on the Union's website too.

The rectors will be able to participate in this meeting . As the rectors in the meeting will be the guests of the Union, ransportation and meal expenses will be covered by the Union.

The rectors are asked to e-mail a report in English related accreditation and quality issues in particular in their universities, and in general in their own countries to our association e-mail address, and bring them to the meeting. In addition, an English brief summary of these reports must be sent to the following e-mail address to be added in the meeting program booklet as soon as possible.
